Duties:
General Duties
- Perform duties including generating financial data, compiling, and submitting reports, analysing industry trends, and assessing the financial health of the company.
- Coordinate and support the preparation of quarterly and annual account reconciliations, and annual financial reports, monitor, and enforce compliance with tax and financial reporting standards and assist with cash flow forecasting.
- Document the company’s financial status and forecasts.
- Assist in maintaining accurate financial records, including accounts payable and receivable, general ledger entries, and bank reconciliations.
- Ensure all financial transactions are properly recorded and documented.
- Enter financial data into accounting software systems.
- Verify the accuracy of data and correct any discrepancies.
- Organize and maintain financial files and records.
- Assist in the creation of financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and financial regulations.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining internal controls
- Track and monitor expenses and payments
- Mediate between the organization, employees, stakeholders, shareholders, and investors on financial issues for amicable resolution of differences.
- Participate in strategic planning and provide financial insights to support business growth and expansion.
- Assist in creating strategic business plans based on the analysis of the company’s status and financial forecasts.
- Work in a corporate office environment, with occasional travel to other locations for meetings, and other events as required.
- Perform administrative and ad hoc duties.

Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting or a related field. Master’s degree or professional certification is an advantage.
- Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in finance, with a proven track record.
- Strong understanding of financial accounting, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Proficient in financial software, excel and/or ERP systems.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements and accounting standards.

Skills:
- Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to create and process financial spreadsheets (e.g. in Excel)
- Good negotiation skills
- Strong understanding of credit risk assessment methodologies and financial analysis.
- Highly attentive to details and organized.
- Proficient in risk management software and tools.

Departmental Relations:
- Maintains contact with all departments.

External Relations:
- Maintains contact with clients, potential clients.
- Maintains contact with financial institutions, credit rating agencies

Responsibility for Assets:
- Financial assets and tools
- Company equipment including mobile phones, computers etc.
