Job Purpose

To drive growth and revenue for the company by identifying and cultivating new business opportunities.  Play a critical role in expanding the company’s market presence, building partnerships, and increasing sales.

2 Duties:

General Duties

  • Identify and prospect new sales leads to grow clientele base according to set targets.
  • Pitch products and services to businesses, new projects and existing customers.
  • Develop new marketing strategies and execute same.
  • Identifying emerging markets to find new sales opportunities.
  • Handle customer complaints, provide appropriate solutions and alternatives within time limits; follow up to ensure resolution.
  • Build sustainable relationships and trust with customer accounts through open and interactive communication.
  • Research the needs of clients and make winning presentations when necessary.
  • Issue out invoices to clients for service payment.
  • Keep track of assigned accounts to identify outstanding debts.
  • Plan alternate courses of action to recover outstanding payments.
  • Locate and contact debtors to inquire of their payment status.
  • Be available to travel for business events and duties.
  • Perform administrative and ad hoc duties.

    3Requirements:

    • Minimum HND in business, marketing, or a related field.
    • Proven experience in business development, sales, or a related role.
    • Some experience working in the Agro-Business industry preferred.
    • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
    • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
    • Results-driven and target-oriented mindset.
    • Excellent negotiation and presentation skills.
    • English speaker, and relevant languages for the region such as French will be an added advantage.
    • Be available to travel for business events and duties.
    • Perform administrative and ad hoc duties.

    • Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills and the ability to articulate ideas, proposals, and value propositions clearly and persuasively.
    • Market Knowledge: In-depth understanding of the industry, market trends, and competitor landscape.
    • Relationship Building: Strong interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and stakeholders.
    • Analytical Skills: Analytical mindset to interpret sales metrics and performance data.
    • Networking: Proactive in attending industry events, conferences, and networking functions while building and maintaining a strong professional network.

    5Departmental Relations:

    • Maintains contact with all departments.
    • Maintains contact with all other workers

    6External Relations:

    • Maintains contact with existing and potential clients.
    • Maintains contact with relevant partners.

    7Responsibility for Assets:

    • Company’s resources, including physical assets and intangible assets.

    8Salary:

    • GHS 3,000- GHS 4,000 – Base of GHC 2,500 + commissions
